Comparison ~

https://www.facebook.com/embracedbylife?fref=photo

I often notice that I have gone upstairs into the head, leaving the body behind, that I am engrossed in useless thinking, out of touch with presence. But even to recognize this is a wonderful thing. It is the first step in waking up and coming home. So we don’t need to compare ourselves to others or beat ourselves up for not being perfect. We’re human, and our conditioning is a powerful force of nature. Sometimes that conditioning overwhelms our interest in, and our commitment to, being fully present and awake. If we are striving to be present and awake “all the time,” or expecting that to happen, we are lost in delusion.
