Blood Moon Milky Way (Colorado).
This was taken during the last lunar eclipse at the end of September. A lunar eclipse really is a fascinating event to view. Not only does the moon turn orange/red but the sky, just minutes before completely washed out by the full moon, turns really dark and makes the Milky Way visible for a while. Due to the wide angle lens the moon is very small in this photo. A satellite also showed up during the 30-second exposure.
