For the Faint of Heart ~ Land Escape Photography

For the Faint of Heart
A fearless hiker takes in the view of Yosemite Valley. I'd wanted a sunrise shot from the Glacier Point area for a long time, and I still hadn't lived down the fact that I snoozed through an Escaype forecast for a month or two before, when my friend Matt Walker came back with some of the best Glacier Point shots I'd ever seen. When I saw another big sky setting up, I wasn't going to be fooled a second time, so a couple friends and I drove through the night, watched this amazing sunrise, then drove back home. I drew inspiration from Jonathan Mitchell Photography's shot in making this.

One thing I'll take away from this trip is that one morning in any National Park is far too short. I don't think I'll be doing this again -- but I'm glad I tried it once. #GoodThingsHappenOutside, and the more time outside, the better.
