#1 image for 2015 is Hopetoun Falls! Thanks everyone for making this one explode over on 500px, on instagram, flickr, and to a lesser extent here on facebook. You can see the RAWs in the comments below but the thought process was to take this shot from this angle to exclude that pesky fallen log. I took a horizontal series polarised and unpolarised (for the reflection), then took a vertical orientation for potential cover material, then moved along to the stream itself before Jaime's tanties made us leave. Was it a worthy #1? To be honest, I couldn't pick between many of the most popular images. All of the top 5 and most of the top 10 would have been in my personal favourites for the year but there are some detail shots which didn't make the list - but then again, we were shooting those for ourselves and never really expected them to be that popular.
