Sunrise on the Crossing
An early start (2:15am) from Ketetahi on a warm moonlit morning saw us lugging on our timelapse gear on to the top. Getting to these locations used to be easier - all I ever needed was one camera and a tripod. Now with motion control rigs etc etc my tramping pack is filled up and very heavy - not sure how much longer my body will permit mw to do this.
Having finally made to the top about 10mins before the aplen glow started I fumbled around setting up the gear in a stiff cold southerly and to find after all the effort my panning head decided to stop halfway through the timelapse!Tongariro Crossing, Tongariro National Park, North Island, New Zealand.
